References real 'orgone energy' theories developed by psychoanalyst Wilhelm Reich in the 1930s-40s, who claimed to have discovered a universal life force and built devices called orgone accumulators to harness it -- claims that were never scientifically validated and led U.S. regulators to destroy his equipment and jail him in 1957.
