'Bob' Dobbs is the real central icon of the Church of the SubGenius -- a clip-art image of a smiling, pipe-smoking 1950s salesman the actual church adopted as its fictional founder and prophet -- making 'Kill Bob' both an in-joke about the church's internal mythology and a nod to how central the icon is to the whole bit.
