"Hail Eris!" is a real Discordian invocation, from the "Principia Discordia," honoring Eris, the Greek goddess of chaos and discord -- the tongue-in-cheek pseudo-religion that heavily influenced "The Illuminatus! Trilogy" and, through it, this entire game.
