Conspiracy Narrative
A purple, viking-themed dinosaur who's "beloved by children and detested by adults" is a none-too-subtle parody of Barney the Dinosaur, the famously saccharine PBS children's-show star who debuted in 1992 and quickly became a lightning rod for adult mockery even as kids adored him.
